July Update

Dear Visitor,

Club Championships

Please do sign up for the BLTC Club Championships by registering your interest on Club Championship page. The competition will run from 1 August (organise your own ties) culminating in a finals weekend on 29th August. We would love to have more entrants for the Gents and Ladies Singles and Doubles and for the Fun Mixed Doubles. There will be a plate competition for anyone knocked out in the first round of the singles draws. Closing date for entries is Weds 29th

Box Leagues

Just a few more days left to get your box league matches completed for this block – closing date 27th July.

Guest Access

We are happy to allow members to bring guests to play on the courts but please do remember that a fee is payable for this. Preferably book your court through the ClubSpark Booking Page (NOT the App) and follow the process for Group Booking. If you enter your guest’s name and ensure they are described as a “guest” then the system will calculate the fee payable online at £2:50 for 30 minutes. If this method does not suit you then please complete a bank transfer to the BLTC account (reference guest fee) at 83-28-46 acct 00110847.

Having opened up our court to some Pay & Play bookings, it is encouraging to see that we have had several bookings already, and hopefully encouraged some non-members to join us.

Junior Coaching

It is not too late to sign up for the Junior coaching blocks, which have started this week, by registering at Junior Coaching page. Fees are payable directly to Pawel, so be sure to select the “member” rate of £0 when booking online.

Dates for the Diary

Perhaps more in hope than expectation, we are planning two different tennis holiday options for 2021:

Barcelona Tennis Academy          20-27th March

Family tennis in Poland                 5-12th July

Obviously, it is difficult to predict what the world will look like next year, but we will soon be posting details of each proposal on the ClubSpark website. Please contact Emma Bolland (Barcelona) or Pawel (Poland) to register an interest.

Finally, do stay safe by following the guidelines on hand hygiene and social distancing, and avoid using the clubhouse if you possibly can.

Best wishes
